DIVE LONGER, MORE SAFELY, AND CLOSER TO WILDLIFE.

padi rebreather diver course

Rebreathers used to be only for technical diving, but not any more. New Type R (recreational) rebreathers are lightweight, easy-to-transport and have sophisticated electronics to simplify their use. Why dive a rebreather? You get longer no stop limits, reduced gas consumption because you reuse most of your exhaled gas, and unmatched wildlife encounters because you don’t release annoying bubbles.

Getting close to marine life – Rebreathers don’t create bubbles or noise, making you a natural part of the underwater environment.

• Exploring underwater – Rebreathers use gas efficiently, allowing you to stay underwater for several hours, so you can take your time and enjoy the little (and big) things!

• Diving in comfort – Rebreathers circulate warm, humid gas at ambient pressure, so it’s just like breathing above surface!

PADI Rebreather Diver

The latest rebreathers are lightweight, easy-transportable units that have sophisticated electronics to simplify their use. With the introduction of the PADI Rebreather Diver courses, rebreather diving training is now available for the PADI Open Water diver

Rebreathers allow longer no decompression limits, reduced gas consumption and unmatched wildlife encounters. Now anyone can become a Rebreather Diver.

The PADI Rebreather Diver course uses Type R units to introduce divers to rebreather diving within recreational dive limits. Type R rebreathers are electronically controlled and provide a back up for all the major systems and simplify training and use.

PADI Rebreather Diver & Advanced Rebreather Course

This helps particularly with logistics allowing us to combine both classroom sessions and both pool sessions. There are also a number of skills that are required for both courses. If the courses are being run separately then they need to be done for both courses. If the courses are combined then those skills need only be completed once. This also allows us to make better use of scrubber and O2 fills.

Prerequisites

  •  Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

  • Be certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver

  • Be at least 18 years old
